In a series of interviews of local Eastern Shore residents in 1977, former Salisbury University students and teachers collected folk life material. For this collection, Richard Turner chose to focus on folk medicine from the Eastern Shore. His interviews include a short introduction of the informant and his or her relationship with the interviewer. This paper is comprised of several unconventional remedies such as snakeskin to reduce menstrual cramps or mustard paste to soothe backache.
